Access to quality education remains out of reach for millions of children around the world, particularly in communities facing deep economic and social barriers. In Pakistan, where the need is especially urgent, sustained investment in education can be life-changing.
The Shah Family Foundation is proud to partner with The Citizens Foundation (TCF) to help expand access to secondary education for students at TCF Cowasjee Campus in Lyari Town, Karachi. Through a joint $170,000 commitment with the Gloria Baylis Foundation, this partnership will provide five years of critical support to help students stay in school and complete their education.
This investment supports the ongoing operation of a purpose-built TCF school, helping cover essential needs such as qualified teachers, classroom resources, student support, and safe learning environments. Many of the students served are girls and first-generation learners, for whom continued access to education can be transformative.
For families in underserved communities, barriers such as poverty, distance, and cultural expectations often interrupt a child’s education during the secondary years. By supporting long-term, locally embedded schooling, this partnership helps ensure students are not forced to leave school before realizing their full potential.
At the Shah Family Foundation, education is viewed as more than access to textbooks or classrooms. It is a pathway to opportunity, dignity, and long-term community strength. Together with The Citizens Foundation, this commitment reflects a shared belief that talent and potential should never be limited by circumstance.
Through sustained support and collaboration, this partnership aims to unlock opportunity for young people today while contributing to stronger, more equitable communities for the future.
