The Shah Family Foundation is proud to support TCF School, Cowasjee Campus, a Secondary school in Karachi run by The Citizens Foundation (TCF), an organization committed to providing quality education and empowering communities through learning.
Leading the Secondary Morning shift is Principal Ms. Ghazala, who has served in the role since 2022 and brings more than a decade of experience in education, including nine years as a teacher. A believer in collaborative leadership, she works to foster teamwork, accountability, and open communication across the school. Despite the challenges faced by the community, she remains dedicated to building meaningful partnerships and to supporting the personal growth and well-being of students and staff alongside their academic development.
The impact of that leadership is visible in the students. Moiz Fayyaz, a Class 11 student, aspires to become a doctor. Since his father's passing, he has drawn strength from his mother, who works as an Aya to support their family. Alongside his studies, Moiz manages a small blanket shop, showing a resilience and sense of responsibility beyond his years. He excels in science practicals, stays actively involved in sports, and is driven by a curiosity about the human body and a dream of serving others through medicine.
TCF is also preparing its students for a digital future. A new computer science curriculum introduces computational thinking, programming, and digital citizenship, with students learning tools like Scratch as early as Grade 6. TCF is replacing computers in its Secondary school labs with tablets, so that each student can learn on a device of their own in a peer-learning model. Teachers are also combining high-quality digital content with traditional classroom methods, and upgraded devices for teachers and principals will strengthen the School Management Application used to manage student data.
For the Shah Family Foundation, supporting TCF School, Cowasjee Campus reflects our commitment to initiatives that expand access to quality education and create opportunities for young people to reach their goals.
